Green Cardamom
Cold, green and almost sweet.
Hand-picked in the cardamom hills of Idukki and cured slowly so the pods keep their green. Split one open and the seeds are black, sticky and loud: eucalyptus, mint, a lift of lemon. One pod perfumes a whole pot of rice. Four will take it over. It is the most generous spice in the case, so go gently.

A rigid box wrapped in Pine A, the Mark foil-stamped in copper on the lid and a single copper line where the lid meets the base. Inside, a charcoal flocked insert holds the jar upright. The name is on the front, so it can be given without a card. A single jar is only ever sold this way.
